Participants will learn all aspects of the filmmaking process from professional filmmakers, screen writers and actors and then apply the skills learnt to make short films and/or a short dramatic web series.
During term 1 we will focus on screen writing and screen acting developing multiple short scripts that can be shot during term 2 and 3.
Participants will also be introduced to basic camera techniques in Term 1 learning how to set up quality shots and what kind of shots are needed to tell a story.
During Term 2 participants will receive master classes in camera, sound, lighting, set design and costume using broadcast quality equipment.
In Term 2 we will also start the filming process and continue filming into term 3.
In term 4 we will look at all aspects of post-production – including- sound design, music composition, editing and colour grading.
